January 15 – “Snow” School
No school in session today— but there are many fun things to learn and do at the zoo! We will be conducting different snow and ice experiments throughout the day. Also, to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr day we can learn about accomplishments from diverse scientists who have helped contribute to conservation.
February 16 – Predator & Prey Day
This day we will focus on the relationships between predators and prey. Wolves and Deer, Eagles and Fish, and Snakes and Mice are a few examples we can see at the zoo. There are so many different types of interactions that happen in the wild! Visit us for a fun time playing games and activities focusing on animals’ roles.
March 30 – What’s the Scoop
Grab a shovel and come learn about what the zookeepers are scooping up! That’s right, todays topic is all about poop. All of our animals do it, and there is much we can learn about animals from their poop. From knowing what they eat to knowing how healthy they are, to even knowing where they have been. Come be a part of the activities today in a fun, safe, and clean way.
April 2 – Step into Spring
We’re hoping for a fantastic spring here in Fargo this year! With spring comes many newborn animals, pollinators, and the return of animals who migrated south for the winter. We will be making crafts focusing on pollinators and the flowers they depend on. So wake up out of hibernation and come over to the zoo to celebrate spring!
